The Field

There is a field full of colored stones.
They glint in the evening sunlight.
It has a mission. It gathers the sentiments we discard like a parson passing a collection plate.

When the plate stops, the field is full.
It sits there as the wind tries to dislodge the stones
waiting for the moment
when they will hatch and release their young.
